One address. Any screen.

With your Hub wired and powered, you can open ROAMiQ on the Display Screen, in a web browser, or with the Home Assistant Companion app. Every path starts in the same place.

Use the option that fits how you’re working. You can switch between them later. The same Hub and dashboard are waiting behind each one.

ROAMiQ Display Screen

Power on and arrive at Home

If your system includes a ROAMiQ Display Screen, this is the most direct route.

  1. 1Power the Display Screen using either PoE or its 12 V DC jack.
  2. 2The ROAMiQ Panel app opens automatically.
  3. 3The app opens roamiq.local:8123 on the Home tab.

Open ROAMiQ in a browser

Use any modern browser when you want a larger workspace for setup.

  1. 1Connect the computer to the same network as your ROAMiQ Hub.
  2. 2Open a browser and enter roamiq.local:8123 in the address bar.
  3. 3The ROAMiQ dashboard opens on the Home tab.

Phone or tablet

Add ROAMiQ to the Companion app

Use the Home Assistant Companion app when you want ROAMiQ available from a mobile device.

  1. 1Connect the phone or tablet to the same network as your ROAMiQ Hub.
  2. 2Start setup in the Home Assistant Companion app.
  3. 3When asked for the server address, add roamiq.local:8123.

First sign-in

Use the temporary login

After you open roamiq.local:8123, sign in with the initial credentials shown here. They are only used to get you through the first setup.

After setup, ROAMiQ will prompt you to create your own login. Use that new username and password from then on.

Change this login during setup. This starter password is the same on every ROAMiQ system, so create your own login as soon as setup asks. Until then, keep your Hub on your own private network.

When the dashboard loads with the Home tab selected, you’ve reached your ROAMiQ dashboard and this step is complete.

You’re connected. Leave the Hub and your chosen screen on the same network while you continue setup.
