ROAMiQ BLUETTI Control Chip: wiring and installation guide
Connect your ROAMiQ Chip to a BLUETTI EPAD through the RV-C Expand Bus port and enable RV-C communication on firmware V300450112.
Before you start
- BLUETTI EPAD running firmware V300450112
- ROAMiQ Chip
- RJ45 patch cable
- USB-A to USB-C cable
- Square double-sided adhesive pad
Install the ROAMiQ Chip
Power off the EPAD
Turn off the EPAD before connecting the cables.
Mount the ROAMiQ Chip
Apply a square double-sided adhesive pad to the center of the back of the ROAMiQ Chip, then mount it to the back of the EPAD as shown.
Connect the RV-C cable
Connect one end of the RJ45 patch cable to the ROAMiQ Chip. Connect the other end to the bottom-left Expand Bus RJ45 port on the back of the EPAD.
Use only the bottom-left Expand Bus port. It is the only RJ45 port on the EPAD that communicates over RV-C.
Turn on the 120Ω resistor
Find the 120Ω resistor switches next to the Expand Bus ports. Flip the bottom switch to the ON position.
Connect USB power
Connect the USB-A end of the power cable to the EPAD port labeled 5V/1.5A. Connect the USB-C end to the ROAMiQ Chip's USB-C port.
Enable RV-C on the EPAD
Turn on the EPAD. Tap the Switches icon to open Switches / Tanks, then tap the Protocols tab on the far right. Make sure Enable RV-C is toggled ON.
